Would your GPA get you into the college of your choice?

Hello 9th Honors Lit/Comp Students,
I hope you and your families are all healthy and well.
If you've decided to quit for the year, average your grades and ask yourself the following:
  • Could I pull my grade up enough points to improve my WEIGHTED GPA ?
  • Could I pull my grade up enough points to improve my UNWEIGHTED GPA?
  • Could I make myself more competitive for the universities of interest to me?
  • Do I currently have the GPA that will get me in the college of my choice?
  • Is my average for 3rd nine weeks and/or my overall 2nd semester average where I'd like them to be?
Check out this resource I made for you while considering the college resume you're building right now.
WANT A 100 FORMATIVE SCORE TO REPLACE YOUR LOWEST FORMATIVE GRADE OF THE SEMESTER?

Examples:
3.  Compare your  UNWEIGHTED GPA  to  the  ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR 2 UNIVERSITIES.
  • If your UNWEIGHTED GPA meets both colleges' requirements, describe what you should keep doing to maintain that GPA.
              OR
  • If your UNWEIGHTED GPA does not meet BOTH of the colleges' requirements, use the site to make a plan:  https://gpacalculator.net/how-to-raise-gpa/  Screenshot/snip this plan to share it.  Explain what you need to improve in order to meet the requirements for your chosen university/universities.

How do I determine my average?

ELA Final Average
  • Average of all 4 quarters (Q1+ Q2 + Q3 +Q4 with the sum of those scores divided by 4)
  • If 3rd quarter is higher than 4th quarter, then your 3rd quarter score will be used twice, once in place of 4th quarter (Q1+ Q2 + Q3 + Q3  with the sum of those scores divided by 4).

Lit Final Average
  • Average of 1st Semester and 2nd Semester (S1 + S2 with the sum of those scores divided by 2)
  • If your average for the first half of second semester/3rd quarter is higher than your total average for second semester, then your second semester grade used will be used to calculate your average.
